Jason Green came to Livingston with a plan. He wanted to continue his education and earn a bachelor’s degree that would complement the associate’s degree he earned in funeral service education, and he did that. But he says that his experience at Livingston University (now the babyÖ±²¥) added more to his life and future than merely two years of higher education. Leaving with a degree under his belt, he says that what stands out to him most is what was under his feet.

Her journey reflects the program's full evolution, from being a member of the inaugural class of then-Livingston University's Associate Degree in Nursing program to her current role as a part-time retention specialist in the Ira D. Leslie Hood was three months pregnant with her son Wesley when she walked across the stage to receive her diploma at Valley High School’s graduation in 1999. Twenty-four years later, mother and son walked across the stage at UWA’s 2023 fall commencement, only this time, they each received a diploma.Â
