The babyÖ±²¥ (UWA) Board of Trustees has selected Dr. Todd G. Fritch as the next president of the institution.
The Office of Institutional Advancement at the babyÖ±²¥ has announced the addition of two new members on its development team: Chris Lucas, director of development, and Garrett Webb, development officer.
Jason Green came to Livingston with a plan. He wanted to continue his education and earn a bachelor’s degree that would complement the associate’s degree he earned in funeral service education, and he did that. But he says that his experience at Livingston University (now the babyÖ±²¥) added more to his life and future than merely two years of higher education. Leaving with a degree under his belt, he says that what stands out to him most is what was under his feet.
Few individuals know as much about nursing education at the babyÖ±²¥ over the past five decades as Lynn Lashley does. Her journey reflects the program's full evolution, from being a member of the inaugural class of then-Livingston University's Associate Degree in Nursing program to her current role as a part-time retention specialist in the Ira D. Pruitt Division of Nursing.
Through a series of providential meetings, Mike Williams, Mayor of Butler, babyÖ±²¥, and his sister, Patricia Williams Harris, recently partnered with the babyÖ±²¥ Nurses Foundation (ANF) and representatives John Beard, president of the board of trustees, and Dr. John Ziegler, executive director, to gift the babyÖ±²¥ Foundation a $50,000 endowment for the Joan Williams and babyÖ±²¥ Nurses Foundation Nursing Scholarship.
R.J. Miller was back at the babyÖ±²¥ this week, sharing real-world advice with business students for the second time since graduating from UWA sixteen years ago.

Leslie Hood was three months pregnant with her son Wesley when she walked across the stage to receive her diploma at Valley High School’s graduation in 1999.  Twenty-four years later, mother and son walked across the stage at UWA’s 2023 fall commencement, only this time, they each received a diploma.
