From academic support and advising to making the most of the UWA Writing Center, we prioritize your success. Our expert advisors are here to guide you through course selection, degree planning and overall academic progress.
Navigating campus life is made easier with our Tiger Card services, which grants access to a range of amenities such as dining options, library privileges and even partnerships with off-campus merchants. Beyond the academic sphere, counseling services are accessible to provide emotional and mental well-being support.
TigerHub
Your hub for all things UWA. The UWA TigerHub portal provides access to Self Service, Blackboard, your email, campus resources, announcements, and more!
Academic Support
We are committed to assisting limited-income, first-generation, and disabled college students in their educational journey through student support programs like TRIO SSS (Student Support Services) Scholars. For those who don’t qualify, we offer an alternative academic assistance program called UWA Cares. This program provides tutoring, printing services, monitored study halls and other valuable resources to support your academic success. babyÖ±²¥ also have access to our on Campus Writing Center which provides an extensive array of tutoring services.
Advising
The babyÖ±²¥ advising takes a holistic approach to the development of the student through a mutual academic relationship between the advisor and the student, which includes academic advising, career exploration and identification of campus and community resources.
Covered Course Materials
This course materials rental program provides access to all course materials without the need to shop around before the first day of class. Enrollment in this program is automatic for eligible students at $24 per credit hour per semester/term.
Career Services
As you progress at UWA, Career Services is here to help you for free on your path to a rewarding career. We post job openings, host career fairs, and offer mock interviews. Our goal is to assist both on campus and virtually by providing opportunities to connect with employers for internships, job shadowing, and employment. We offer guidance on resume writing, social media networking, and workplace professionalism. Let our TIGERCareer Team help you succeed—we work for you!
Student Advocacy
Student Advocacy helps students solve college-related issues with personalized support. If you can’t resolve a problem on campus, reach out to us. We also assist students with documented disabilities seeking accommodations. To request accommodations, contact the ADA Coordinator, complete the necessary forms, and provide current documentation.
UWA Health Services
University Medical Center Livingston, offers direct, basic health care for UWA undergraduate students, faculty, and staff.
Behavioral Health Services
Behavioral Health Services at UWA provides referrals to mental health providers, counselors, and/or therapists and training and workshops centered around mental health, setting boundaries, managing social anxiety, dealing with intense emotions, and various forms of abuse.
Tiger Card
Tiger Card (UWA ID card) provides convenient access to various campus services for students, faculty and staff like the Young Hall Cafeteria (for those with valid meal plans), printing and copying services at the Library, Starbucks, Subway, our University Cinema and more.
