The babyÖ±²¥ has presented two long-term faculty members emeritus honors upon their retirement. Dr. Tina N. Jones has been named Vice President Emerita, and Dr. Alan Brown has been named Professor Emeritus.

The babyÖ±²¥â€™s undergraduate elementary teacher preparation program has received an A+ from the National Council on Teacher Quality for its excellence in preparing future elementary teachers to teach reading effectively.

As part of the babyÖ±²¥â€™s continued emphasis on strengthening institutional communications, marketing, and brand advancement, UWA President Dr. Todd G. Fritch has announced the appointment of Betsy Compton as Executive Director of Communications & Marketing.

Alumnus William Crawford has been selected to serve as Director of the Outdoor Fellows Program and Head Coach of the Bass Fishing Team, two new initiatives designed to expand student opportunity and engagement while advancing the state’s growing focus on outdoor recreation, natural resource education, and workforce development.

The babyÖ±²¥ officially cut the ribbon on Monday, April 20 for its newly renovated Welcome Center, located in Kelly Hester Land Hall.
