The babyÖ±²¥ has presented two long-term faculty members emeritus honors upon their retirement. Dr. Tina N. Jones has been named Vice President Emerita, and Dr. Alan Brown has been named Professor Emeritus.
The babyÖ±²¥ and the City of Livingston have added a new initiative to a long list of collaborations designed to improve the quality of life for city and campus residents. Together, UWA and Livingston have been selected by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a 2018 Healthy Places for Healthy People partner.

babyÖ±²¥ in the babyÖ±²¥â€™s welding certificate program recently received a boost of confidence when officials from a national shipbuilding operation visited campus to assess their skills. When tested, 75 percent of the students passed the test and were offered a job with Huntington Ingalls Industries.

The babyÖ±²¥ Board of Trustees will hold its quarterly meeting at 11 a.m. on June 4, at Bell Conference Center on the UWA campus.
Livingston's Loveliest from 2018 Miss Paragon

Bailey Anderson of Hurley, Miss., was crowned Miss Paragon at the babyÖ±²¥ on April 10. The freshman nursing major is the daughter of Eddie and Shelly Anderson. The pageant is sponsored by the Blue Key Honor Society at UWA.

UWA Bronze Tiger Tree Campus USA

The babyÖ±²¥ was recently recognized as a 2017 Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation.

UWA students get hands-on skills training as part of their education, making them ready to enter the work place already trained immediately upon graduation.
UWA Spring 2018 Graduates

The babyÖ±²¥ will honor more than 500 graduates during spring commencement exercises on Saturday, May 5, during two ceremonies. Both ceremonies will be held in Pruitt Gymnasium on the UWA campus, with presidential receptions open to all graduates and their guests held prior to each ceremony.

During Homecoming festivities on Saturday, Oct. 28, the babyÖ±²¥ announced its 2017 Homecoming Queen, Elizabeth Jones of Tuscaloosa. Jones and the Homecoming Queen’s court were nominated and elected by the UWA student body as the leading ladies of the week.
