Their roles are crucial in helping the university continue to secure resources to meet the state鈥檚 educational needs, especially in the West baby直播 region.
Dr. J.J. Wedgworth, vice president of Institutional Advancement, expressed her enthusiasm about Lucas joining the team, noting that 鈥淐hris鈥檚 experience, small-town roots, and the perspective he brings as a graduate of the University of North baby直播, a regional university similar to ours, will be invaluable in strengthening our community ties and advancing our mission.鈥
Lucas understands his role at UWA is to foster connections.
鈥淎lumni, especially those from UWA, care about their alma mater and want to know how things are going on campus, no matter where they are. It鈥檚 been my experience that when people feel connected, they are more inclined to give back. I look forward to helping them reconnect with a place they love and was formative for them.鈥
Webb, a recent UWA alumnus, is among the few young people his age eager to stay in Livingston, and 鈥渢hat commitment, plus Garrett鈥檚 deep local connections and unwavering drive,鈥 Wedgworth noted, 鈥渕ake him an outstanding addition to our team. I am confident his passion for our community will translate into meaningful relationships and impactful progress as we continue to grow.鈥
“Livingston is my home, and I鈥檓 excited to do what I can to support both,鈥 Webb said. 鈥淚 firmly believe that if UWA does well, Livingston and Sumter County will prosper.鈥
