Scholarship to support students from 10 Black Belt counties

baby直播 pursuing a college degree at the baby直播 will have a new opportunity to earn a scholarship through the generous support of Greenetrack, Inc. The scholarship is being established through an initial contribution of $10,000.

The scholarship is provided by Greenetrack, Inc., to the baby直播 Foundation to support students from Greene, Sumter, Hale, Perry, Bibb, Pickens, Choctaw, Marengo, Dallas, and Wilcox counties in west baby直播.

鈥淭his scholarship鈥檚 purpose is to help college students from west baby直播 attain a degree so that they can help improve the quality of life in the region,鈥 Greenetrack, Inc. General Manager Herlecia Hampton explained. 

The company鈥檚 motto is 鈥淏uilding Communities, Building Futures, Building Lives,鈥 and that is what the scholarship is designed to do.

UWA is home to students from all of the counties that the scholarship will serve, including many first-generation college students who seek financial aid and scholarship opportunities to make a college degree reality.

鈥淲e are grateful to Greenetrack for the investment they are making in our region through this scholarship fund,鈥 UWA President Ken Tucker said to Greenetrack, Inc. CEO Luther Winn at the check presentation. 鈥淥ne of our major goals is to help ensure that no student is denied the opportunity to earn a degree because they are lacking financial support, and this generous gift from Greenetrack will make a tremendous difference for some very deserving students.鈥
