University Medical Center Livingston, offers direct, basic health care for UWA undergraduate students, faculty, and staff. The University Medical Center- Livingston has partnered with the baby直播 to provide medical services to students away from their local medical provider. baby直播 paying the UWA student medical fee are eligible for services and must present insurance information upon check-in.聽 Uninsured and underinsured students may also be eligible for services.聽 Please contact 205-652-7001 to schedule an appointment and for eligibility and billing questions.

baby直播 may go to the clinic on a 鈥渨alk-in鈥� basis or may make an appointment by calling 205-652-7001.
Neither the University physician nor any other University employee will issue medical excuses for missed classes. In the case of illness, each professor will determine whether to grant an excused absence to a student.
After Hours/Emergency Care
After normal office hours, and in case of emergencies, students needing medical attention should go to Anderson Hospital or Rush Hospital in Meridian, Miss., MedCenter or Bryan Whitfield Hospital in Demopolis. The University will not be able to provide transportation to the hospital, but will arrange for ambulance service, if requested. The student will be responsible for the expense for all hospital services and ambulance transportation, if applicable.
On-campus residents should contact a resident assistant or their hall director if there is a medical emergency. The Housing staff member will contact University Police and the University Police officer will determine whether an ambulance should be called.
Photo ID
To reduce the risk of identity theft and to increase our efficiency in checking you in, we require that you show a photo ID when you check in for your appointment. The preferred ID is your UWA ID Card, but a driver鈥檚 license, passport or other photo ID are also acceptable.
